Christmas Not Quite Over
By official proclamation, County Exec. Ralph Caso
has designated Monday, Dec. 29th, 1975 as "BETH-PAGE
ROTARY CLUB'S FOSTER CHILDREN'S
CHIRISTMAS PARTY DAY."
This gala event for approximately 1,000 foster
children will be held at Holiday Manor in Bethpage
whose facilities have been donated by the mangement
of that civic minded institution.
The popular T.V. star Ray Heatherton will M.C. the
program which will open with a Marine Corps Color
Guard striking the, colors-followed by the Pledge of
Allegience. The Kramer Lane Bicentennial Band,
under the leadership of its genial director Frederic
Cohen will entertain and will be followed by the
Dixieland Band of the High School and the L.I. Banjo
Society, that most versatile ensemble which volunteered
its services at last year's party.
Mr. Heatherton will introduce V.P. Mary. Croes of the
Rotary Club and Lt. Col. Bob Nicoli and Lt. Col. Armstrong
of the Marines, who will speak on the Marine
Corps. Reserves project of "Toys For Tots".
As an added surprise, players from the Mets, Jets and
Islanders have promised to appear.
Loads of food and ice-cream and Christmas gifts will
round out the day's festivities.

Sports Night January 31
What has come to be known as
a second Christmas for some
Levittown-Island Trees Youth
Council members- - the annual
Levittown Sports Night- - will be
held Saturday, January 31st at
Division Avenue High School.
This marks the 16th straight
winter for the event which has in
the past attracted more than
15,000 youngsters to Levittown
high schools.

The WUliamsburgh Savings Bank
again will assist the Youth
Council in lining up some of
baseball's top stars for a question
and answer session following the
showing of the 1975 World Series
highlights.
Free tickets for the program
will be distributed during the
Christmas holidays by members
of the Youth Council and the
Levittown office of The
WUliamsburgh Savings Bank.
Prizes will include two
bicycles, a clock radio, bats, balls
and gloves, fishing tackle and
tickets for Islander hockey and
Net basketball games.
