VOL 28 NO. 50 DECEMBER 22-28, 1995 40 CENTS
Bethpage seemed to-be a favorite
spot for Santa this year as he
made his rounds all about our
town.
On December 10 Santa and "the
Mrs." stopped by St. Martin of
Tours Church and had breakfast
with hundreds of local kiddies and
their families. The event was a
huge success and was sponsored
by the La Salle Regional School
LPA.
It included a yummy breakfast,
thanks to all the volunteers, young
and old (pictured at left) as well
as a jam-packed raffle full of
prizes;
Santa and Mrs. Claus stayed the
entire morning and even jotted
down some last minute requests
from the children as well as posed
for pictures.
Congratulations to all those
involved with a wonderful "Breakfast
With Santa." The turnout was
overwhelming and the event was
just the jolliest!
And "our favorite Bethpage
Santa" visited the Marriot Hotel
Dec. 4 to spread some cheer to
hundreds of terminally ill children
at a gala party sponsored by the
Marty Lyons Foundation. Marty is
pictured below right.
The children and their families
all posed with Santa as well as
enjoyed a wonderful buffet and
loads of good cheer! This event
truly is a much needed spark of
happiness to children who sadly
may not make it to another Christmas.
Special thanks should be
given to Bethpage Rotary Club
members as well as students anc
staff at Bethpage High School whc
volunteered much time.
So you see our dear old Sainl
Nick and his "better half" are truly
making the rounds this year. He's
a busy guy with a great big job
to do and GIANT HEART! He's the
"RICHEST" guy I know!
