Past presidents Louise Haugen, Marge Saum, and Jacklyn Blesi attended
the New York State General Federation of Womens Clubs Convention
in Cooperstown. Congratulations were extended to Marge
Saum as the Woman's Club of Bethpage place her name on the New
York State Honor Roll for her dedication and commitment to the service
of volunteerism. Marge has been a member of the Woman's Club for
almost twenty years and looks forward to be involved with her club as
Ways and Means Chairperson. In addition she will also be the Nassau
County Chairperson for the NYSGFWC.
Ready to be of service again is smiling Louise Haugen doing a repeat
performance. A past president, Louise is no stranger to the challengers
that leadership presents. She was installed as the incoming president
of the Woman's Club of Bethpage for 1996-1997. Completing the
incoming slate of officers for the new term is (L-R) Joan Connors -VP,
Joan Thompson - Treas, Louise Quintana - Corr. Sec, Ann Nolan - Rec
Sec. Congratulations and best wishes for their continuing success was
extended to the new officers at the recent Installation Dinner and
Ceremony. '

The woman's Club of Bethpage
congratulates past president,
Maia Gaiti, as she won First Place
in the New York State Federation

DC to be entered in the National
Contest to compete against
entries from all around the country.
We are all so proud of this
very talented lady who proved to
be the best of the best. Maia was
awarded First Place Nationally
and her photo will now be on display
at the General Federation
Headquarters Museum in Washington
DC until August. Kudos
Maia!

they learn about careers in the
health field.
New volunteers are always welcome
