BETHPAGE AMERICAN LEGION
AUXILIARY NEEDS YOUR HELP
L to R: Kay Mazzie, Dottie Rabas, Ethel Surprise, Pres. Pat Warnken,
Gerry Blades & Mabel Fingado, Joan Poppe
The American Legion Aux. Is dedicated to help Servicemen & Women,
Veterans, Children and of course do Community Service.
This is our second drive to ask the Community of Bethpage for their help.
We focused on Bosnia because these young men & women have been stationed
there a long time. They do not know how much longer they will be there
policing the situation. I don't know if any of you have had the experience of
being in a foreign land or just far away from home. After a while the newness is
gone and you feel alone and cut off from your familiar grounds, family and
friends. You say to yourself wouldn't it be great just to hear what's going on at
home.
Now here your chance. Write to one of these men and women, share perhaps
what's happening in your town or maybe a funny happening in your family
or with your friends let them know they're not forgotten that you do care.
If you would like to become a pen pal that is entirely up to you or you could
just sign a letter from a friend.
You can pick up an addressed envelope at King Kullen on Stewart Ave. on
Sat. April 4 between 9 & 4.
In the future we will try to get other addresses in different parts of the world
of our military that we can write to.
If you can't get to King Kullen the address below is listed for your convenience.
