Sunnylane 111 Gets OK
Most residents in our community
are aware Of S-Z housing. This type
housing is specifically geared forwards-
seniors and provides affordable
housing for those in their "Golden
years." Bethpage introduced the S-Z
Zone with Central Park Estates which
is located on Powell Avenue and then
Sonny Lane which is located on the
former Grumman runway. Recently
the concept at Sunny Lane Phase III
went before the Town Boarjl and in
fact was voted on and approved.
There'has been same controversy
regarding* this next phase of
senior housing by residents who feel
that Bethpage is at an oversaturation
point. Others feel that the next phase
is necessary and the Town Board
seemed to agree with those in favor
of the new phase which wi! be built
behind the existing residences.
We spoke with Supervisor John

A Tribute Well Deserved
On Wednesday, Sept. 16, the Central Blvd. School PTA presented
the prestigious PTA honorary Life Award to two women on the CBS
faculty. The honored recipients were Mrs. Raquel Lehman, the school
nurse and Mrs. Erin Duignan, a 1st Grade teacher.
Karen Gregory the PTA 1st Vice-President gave a poignant speech,
praising the contributions these two women have made to Central Blvd.
children and their families over the years. Again, our Central Blvd.
Family extends to them our heartfelt congratulations.
