3rd Graders Adopt FDNY Ladder 163/Engine 325
On Thursday, May 29, 2003,
after much planning, our class took a
trip to Ladder 163 and Engine 325
in Woodside Queens. We had
"adopted" this firehouse and hoped
to get them new mattresses. The
Sealy Mattress Company
generously donated 14 new sets
and we were there to help deliver
them! It was a very excitinq dav!
We have been asked, "Why did
you "adopt" an FDNY Firehouse?"
Well, we wanted to do this because
we thought we could make a
difference!
We have never forgotten that the
men of Ladder 163/Engine 325 are
the same people whose children go
to school with us. They coach our
sports teams and they man our
suburban volunteer firehouses.
They work hard now and they always
have. They are brave and strong and
we're very proud to call them part of
our "adopted" family!
Kramer Lane kids are caring!
Thanks to all who helped make
this day happen!

Memorial Day 2003
Due to drenching rains the 2003 Bethpage Memorial Day Parade
had to sadly be cancelled. However a ceremony was*held at the
Bethpage Community Park to honor and remember our Veterans
as well as to place wreaths from various community and civic
groups. The community of Bethpage wishes to thank the entire
Memorial Day Parade Committee for their devotion to this
parade , our Veterans and the community of Bethpage.
