GET READY FOR
FESTIVAL With just about two weeks till
the big weekend, the Bethpage
Chamber of Commerce is busily
making plans and tying up all the
loose ends for their Annual
Bethpage Chamber of Commerce
Summer Festival. This year's
event is being held on August 8
& 9 from 6pm to midnight both
evenings. The event will be held
at the Town of Oyster Bay
Parking lot adjacent to the LIRR.
This event is truly a labor of
love for the Chamber as so much
effort and work goes into this
two-day event. The behind the
scenes preparations are
numerous and require a lot of
hard work on behalf of the
festival organizers.
Although the Chamber is still
hoping that a few more generous
sponsors will step on board, they
are thrilled to have the Bethpage
Federal Credit Union, Fleet
Bank, Bank of New York, New
Island Hospital, King Kullen and
the Grumman Corporation as
Festival sponsors. These
community minded corporations
enable this festival to take place
each and every year. The
Chamber is especially thankful to
Custom Capitol who is their
premier Fireworks sponsor. The
generosity of Custom Capital
Corp, which is located on
Broadway is sincerely
appreciated by not only the
entire Chamber but also by the
entire community as their
dedication to this festival enabled
their "all new and lengthened"
BA Y FIREWORKS display to be
a part of this years festivities.
The Chamber would also like to
thank Newton & Sons
Amusement for providing all the
fabulous rides and midway
games for this festival but for all
generously becoming one of our
festival sponsors.
If you are looking for a great
time make sure you mark your
calendar and come down to this
year's festival. This year the
Chamber will feature some new
rides and games, vendor booths,
merchandise booths, kidpix and
food, glorious food. They also
will be featuring entertainment
for all ages as Friday night will
feature our "BIG BANDS
BASH". The Chamber is proud
to highlight 3 fabulous hometown
bands in one night of fabulous
music and fun. Saturday evening
will be our DJ party featuring the
unbelievable talent of the
Norma's School of Dance
dancers. These fabulous high-stepping
dancers are always a
big hit and a much-anticipated
highlight of the Chamber festival.
This year we are looking
forward to an all-new BA Y
FIREWORKS show which will be
taking place on Saturday
evening.
The best part of this festival,
however is that it unites the
entire community. Residents
come together to meet old friends
and neighbors as well as to meet
new residents and acquaint
themselves with their local
merchants. It is truly a family
event that is a tribute to the spirit
that makes Bethpage so special.
The Chamber is proud to offer
the same $17 pay one price
bracelet for each night of the
festival. Look in next week's
Tribune for a schedule of events,
festival map, Band highlights as
well as your $2.00 coupon.
That's right. The Tribune will be
featuring your very own $2
coupon good towards the $17
admission. Please note that
coupons cannot be copied and
the $2 coupon is only good for
one bracelet. We will be selling
extra Tribune's both days of the
festival for your convenience but
we suggest clipping your lucky
$2 bucks early.
So get ready Bethpage. It's
almost here! The Bethpage
Chamber of Commerce Summer
Festival....bigger and better than
ever. See you there. And cross
your fingers for some good
weather.
