FINALLY SNOW!
And yes, the appearance of Snowmen. I built this handsome fellow in
honor of my two sick little boys who stood by the front door and
directed my every move. He has a thermometer in his mouth in honor
of Alex sick with mononucleosis and Sal who has step throat. Feel

Mother Nature finally decided to give us a dose of her best stuff this
week as Bethpage and Long Island were hit by a winter nor'easter,
which blanketed our area with over 5 inches of snow. Schools were
closed and most children took to the cold weather to enjoy snow and
lots of it. Roadways were quite slippery and dangerous on Tuesday but
by Wednesday it was back to business as usual. Weather predictions
say that we are in for a bit more of the old white stuff before January is
out. We have been so lucky, however, this being the first real snow
storm in quite some time.
It may make for dangerous driving but you have to admit that the snow
looked just gorgeous as it covered our lawns and trees. This tranquil
looking bench half frozen looked as beautiful as the snow itself and
this lonely little tree stood and braved the cold temps in his blanket of
nearly five inches of snow.
