VOL 35 NO. 19 MAY 11-17,2001 40 Cents
Dear Moms,
Today is a very special day. It is a day we set aside for Moms everywhere to say thank you. It is
a day that we show you just how much we love you and appreciate all that you do for us. But
honestly, it doesn % seem nearly enough. One day in your honor doesn 7 even come close to the
lifetime of love and caring that you have given. Moms are special people. Your jobs are
endless and demanding. You give so much to so many and yet always have the ability to give
alittle morc.even if it means putting yourself second, which you always do. You've been a
nurse, a teacher, an advisor, a pychologist, a chef, a cleaning lady and friend You taught us
how to walk, to read, to behave, to be responsible and to be honest. You've been a homework
buddy, a PTA member, a scout leader, a cheerleading coach, a sports fan and a taxi cab driver
for many, many years. You laughed at our silly jokes, cried endless tears and felt every bit of
pain we ever felt. You scolded us when we needed it, praised us when we deserved it and even
when we didn 't. You hung all our artwork on the fridge and took pictures of our every
accomplishment. You taught us so much, forgave us our mistakes and loved us enough to
allow us to grow and become independent. But we really aren i independent when it comes to
you. Oh, sure we may act adult-like and all but no matter how old we get, or how mature we
are, no matter how important a career we have or how involved in our own lives and
responsibilities we are— we are always dependent on one thing...your love and support. We
could never do without your constant caring, understanding, honesty and advice (even
though sometimes we just don't take it) And we hope you know that whether we are 4 or 40
nothing feels quite as good as one of your hugs or the comfort of knowing that you are and
have always been therefor us. From our diaper days to our driving days, from our school
days to our wedding days, from our graduation days to our retirement days you have been
there loving us every step of the way and on this day...Mother 's Day...and every day we thank
you, love you and hope you all know how special you are to all of us. Happy Mother \s Day
Moms. We love you!
Love, Your Children
