New Island Hospital Donates County Honors Bill Nimmo as
$18,000 To American Red Cross NCCC Small Business Person of the Year

Nassau County and Maryann Slutsky, Director of Financial
Development of the American Red Cross of Nassau County.
On October 10, New Island
Hospital presented a check for
$18,000 to the American Red Cross
of Nassau County. This check was
the result of donations made by the
employees and medical staff of the
hospital.
"We were deeply saddened by
the tragic events of September 11,
and we wish to thank our employees
and medical staff for their generous
contributions to the American Red
Cross of Nassau County. We hope in
some small way that this check will
help ease the pain of those effected
by this tragedy," stated Paui E.
Seale, President and CEO of New
Island Hospital

recently honored William Nimmo who is the owner and operator of the

Chambers of Commerce 17th Annual Small Business Person of the
