Recruiting & Scholarships
The Bethpage School District
Athletic Department will conduct a
college recruiting seminar for
students in grades 9-12 and their
parents. The seminar will be held on
Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. in the
Bethpage High School Little Theater.
Vincent Salamone, Director of
Athletics for Long Island University,
C.W. Post will present the seminar,
hich will provide information on
how athletics can be used as a
means to help gain admission to
college, how to determine a scholar
athlete's potential, how to navigate
eligibility and recruiting rules, and

production of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's Family Newsletter.

recently provided $5,000 for the
production of the Girl Scouts of
Nassau County's Family Newsletter,
distributed to more than 25,000
homes throughout the region.
According to King Kullen Vice
President of Government and
Industry Relations Thomas K.
Cullen, the Nassau County Girl
Scout mission "to offer all girls in
Nassau County an opportunity to
realize their potential" corresponds
to the traditions of the company.
"King Kullen is a family operated

customers and employees," stated
Cullen. "The sponsorship of the
Nassau County Girl Scouts
newsletter underscores the value
King Kullen finds in communicating
the many achievements of the
individual Girl Scout, and the
organization as a whole."

check. "Through positive activities
and experiences, Nassau County
Girl Scouts prepares these young
women for the realities of their lives
in a changing world," noted
Ceravolo. "We appreciate the
commitment King Kullen has shown
in fostering values in our future
adults."

New Island Hospital
Honors Doctors

On Friday, March 15, New Island
Hospital paid tribute to its new and
long-term doctors at a special
cocktail party held at the Woodbury
Country Club where more than 230
people attended the event. Dr.
Robert Sunshine, President of the
Medical Staff and Dr. Michael
Greenblatt, Vice President of
Medical Affairs/Medical Director of
New Island Hospital, presided over
the ceremonies. Plaques were given
to those Doctors who had 20, 25, 30,
35 and 40 years of service to the
hospital. A special award was given
to Dr. Alan Frazzitta, of Dix Hills, for
his 35 years of service to the hospital
as well as his 12 years of service as
Director of the Department of Family
Practice. Eighty-six new doctors
were also welcomed at the cocktail
party.
"New Island Hospital is proud of
its dedicated medical staff and the
high quality care they provide to the
people in the community," stated Dr.
Greenblatt.
New Island Hospital is a 223
bed, not-for-profit hospital
sponsored by the Winthrop South
Nassau University Health System
and the Catholic Health Services of
Long Island.
