VOL. 40 NO. 25 SERVING BETHPAGE, ISLAND TREES, OLD BETHPAGE, PLAINVIEW, SEAFORDAND PLAINEDGE FORTY CENTS
We Now Know
If you look up into the sky
If you look to the clouds up above
You'll see a man smiling a smile
A smile because he knew he was loved
If you look up into those skies
It's hard not to have a tear in your eye
If you look up into those clouds
You '11 find that you ask yourself why
Why was a brave man taken away?
Why was this hero not saved?
Why was he not one of those spared?
After all the dangers he braved?
He tried to save others before himself
Never thinking his life was in danger
He climbed up those steps when others climbed down
Looking to save just one life, just one stranger
Why was he taken you ask yourself?
Why, when his heart was filled with such good?
After searching my soul for an answer
I finally, now finally understood
His acts of heroism and bravery were witnessed
By not only those that he loved
The dedication and love inside his heart
You see, was witnessed by God, himself, up above
And on that day, the eleventh of September
That tragic day we all watched and cried
God looked to Brian and knew in his heart
He was a special angel - one he needed by his side
And while our hearts are saddened so deeply
While the pain of missing him hurts us so
The love of God's special new angel
Will be felt wherever we go
His spirit, his courage his love of life
His commitment to so many things
Made it so easy for God up above
To grant this special angel his wings.

And so we now have an answer
To a question we've asked from the heart
We now know why he's left us so soon
And why from his family he is now apart
He was taken because of his soul
A brave soul filled with such love
God needed an angel called Brian
And he is with him in heaven above
He now smiles down on his family
He smiles down on his town and friends, too
He is our special angel, you see
And his spirit lives on in all that we do.
We mourn, we pray. We will never forget
