Bethpage Rotary Club to Help
Bethpage, Tennessee
Two weeks ago we all heard
about the Tornadoes that ripped
through the south. One of the
towns which was hit so hard was
Bethpage ,Tennessee. Readers will
remember that several months ago
the Tribune featured our "sister"
town in a front page article.
Tragically this town lost 28 people
and withstood millions of dollars
in damage. The Rev. Hap Hegley
is helping the town to rebuild as
well as helping residents with the
hardships they have been forced to
endure. They need help and
Bethpage, New York is invited to
join the effort. The Bethpage
Rotary Glub is spearheading this
effort by asking resident to donate
Lowe's and Wal-Mart Gift Cards.
These cards can be brought to
Unique Impressions at 359A
Broadway and as they accumulate
they will be sent directly to Rev.
Hegley. Donation cans will also be
set up in local stores seeking contributions.
Bethpage, NY can help
Bethpage, Tenn. We can make a difference
in the lives of those that
really need it!

March in 17th Annual Bethpage St. Patty's Parade
Sunday, March 2, 2008
The Bethpage St. Patrick's Parade Committee announces the selection of this
year's Grand Marshals:
Cornelius (Connie) Doolan and Matthew McGrorty
Connie Doolan, a longtime resident of Bethpage, is well-known in Irish-
American circles and here, in Bethpage, for his involvement in many community
activities.
Matthew McGrorty is a very brave four-year old who is valiantly struggling
with liver cancer. Matt will be riding in the Batmobile - a very special vehicle
donated for use in this parade by Nick Seminario.
The parade will feature five pipe bands, the Bethpage High School band,
Scouts, Historical Preservation Units, Divisions 11 and 15 or the Ancient Order
of Hibernians, fire apparatus from the Bethpage Fire Department and the surrounding
communities, antique autos and a favorite for everyone, especially the
kids, the K-9 Brigade.
