30 Years Later: We Will Always Remember
This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Line of Duty Deaths of Captain Joseph Dunn and Firefighter Robert Hassett who were lost on May
25, 1978 while fighting the Brother's 3 Pool fire on Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage.
This Sunday, May 25, the Bethpage Fire Department will be having a plaque dedication at Brother s 3 Pools on Hempstead Turnpike at approximately
12 noon. Any community residents who would like to attend and pay tribute to these men are welcomed to join with Bethpage Fire
Department members at approximately 11:45am.
