Bethpage Bombers Girls U13 Soccer Team Wins!
The Bethpage Bombers Girls U13 soccer team won the North Hempstead Cup Silver Division
October 11 th and 12th, 2008. The Bombers went 4-0 under the lights at Mitchel Field during
Columbus Day weekend. Saturday, Bethpage beat the Manhattan Cosmos 2-1 and then won against
POBXtreme Power 2-1. Sunday night's games included wins against the Lindenhurst Extreme 2-0

The Bethpage High School Varsity Golden Eagles
Football team (No.l) will once again play for the
Nassau County Conference III championship as they
square off against the Plainedge Red Devils (No.2)
this Friday following a 28-7 victory over their arch
rival Wantagh Warriors last Friday. The top-ranked
Golden Eagles will once again take the field at
Hofstra University's Shuart Stadium, beginning at
7:00 p.m. this Friday.
This marks Bethpage's third straight Conference
III title game appearance and eighth appearance in
the last nine years. The Golden Eagles were propelled
by two touchdown runs by Joe Miceli and two TD's
by Kevin Glueckert, one on a rare touchdown pass
from quarterback Ed Conway which proved to be the
winning score late in the second quarter. Plainedge
defeated Lawrence earlier in the evening by a score
of27-14.
