Bethpage Receives A Wonderful Gift!

A Group Effort! Elected officials from the Town of Oyster Bay, community leaders, Bethpage school district administrators
and board members along with happy, smiling children all took part in the grand opening of the Town of Oyster Bay
Ice Skating Center.
It was wonderful to see residents back on the ice enjoying this five star facility.

This five star facility is a dream come true.
This rink will be used by the young and young at heart.
The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 82 display the
colors.
Supervisor John Venditto was elated to see so
many people using the new rink and celebrating
this historic grand opening.
On December 13, the long awaited and
much anticipated grand opening of the Town
of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center attracted
over 2000 residents, who wanted to be a part
of a truly historic day in Bethpage. This state
of the art facility is simply gorgeous and is a
wonderful gift for the community of
Bethpage. Boasting a regulation size indoor
ice skating rink, a large and spacious cafe
and eating area, a merchandise filled pro
-shop, several community rooms and a grand
fireplace, this five star facility is the result of
many years of meetings, hard work and dedication
on behalf of our town government and
community leaders. This project is the direct
result of how government and community
residents come together and accomplish great
things.
This once contaminated piece of land,
which could have been a vacant eyesore for
decades, is now a glorious facility which will
be used and enjoyed for generations U c 'me.
On hand for the grand opening were many
town and state elected officials, all of whom
were impressed and elated with how this
