Lisa Mastanduno made sure the
bathrooms were squeaky clean! Bagging up the nasi,!
Every kitchen cabinet was scrubbed clean! 1 lot of hard work was put into pruning the grounds.
On July 12 members of the
Bethpage Chamber of Commerce
Junior League participated in a clean
up of the Bethpage PAL. Building and
grounds. The team of dedicated volunteers
cleaned out all of the beds around
the facility as well as swept the lot and
manicured the parking area. Garbage
was bagged and put out and next week
they will be planting flowers in the
newly cleaned beds and putting a fresh
coat of paint on the doors and railings!
There was a whole lot of cleaning
going on inside the building as well as
all the windows (yes, the Bethpage
Chamber of Commerce Junior League
members do WINDOWS) , air conditioners
and vents were cleaned. The
kitchen and bathrooms were also
cleaned as well as all the tables, chairs
and even the refrigerator. The last
thing on their list was a sweeping and
cleaning of the floor.
Needless to say when these hard
working teens were done the PAL was
sparkling clean! After all of their hard
work the Bethpage PAL treated them
to pizza and soda.
This project is just one of the many
projects that the BCCJL has been
involved since its formation earlier this
year. The BCCJL has already hosted
two other town clean tips and they
have been actively participating in the
Chamber's monthly meetings.
