The digger which has been excavat¬ ing for the N, Y. City pipe line reached Henry Street from the east Tuesday, where it was taken apart and conveyed to Valley Stream, from which place work will be begun eastward, to cennect with this line at Henry Street. It is difficult to find who has bought the buildings in the line of the conduit. Jake Post says his house on Henrv Street was bought by "The New York Construction Company," who will move it a half block east, but he don't know who the "Company" are. Other houses on Henry Street are also beings moved and the roof of porches over Main Street, in front of Gohetz's old store and Henderson's flats are being torn down.

As we go to press the Firemen's Carnival is under full sway in the vil¬ lage. Most of the stores are decorat¬ ed and some of the private residences.
