The Nassau County Review has grown so big so suddenly that it almost takes line's breath away to tell about it. The size of the pajier has been changed from the old spread eagle style to the com¬ pact six column, eight page form. A new dress of the handsome Century I'^xjianded type, which the Record has been using over a year, has been adopted. But far and away the biggesi thing is the new .Simplex typesetting machine which has been installed. It sets tyiie so fast that if you're not cai'i'ful you set too much to get it in ihi- pafier. With it you can discharge everybody except the ollice devil, your hou.sekeepw and yourself. As if this v.'ere not enough the Review has laid in a vast quantity of moilern job type and is now one of the best epuijiped offices on the Isianil. How idle to wish pros¬ perity for a country newspaper like that! Amityville Record.

For .several years there has been great rivalry between South Side High School (Rockville Center) and Freejiort High S.'hool. This year two games of foot-ball werL' scheduled, one t.) take place at R.ickville Center, and the oth¬ er at Freeport. The lirst game was jilayed at Rockville Center on Election Day, and hy sujierior jilaying in every dejiartment Freejiort defeated them by a sc.n'c of ;» to 0. .After this game had ceased being talked about, of ourse all interest centered, tdiout the next. There was much school and town sj)irit aroused. Now Rcokville Center jiro- t':'sts against one of our jilayers, saying that h.e is entirely o'at of their class. They absolutely refuse to jilay if this member j>lays. We find no reason why he sh.iuliln't jilay his .jualitications as a student of the school are above criti¬ cism. We admit Cutler is a fine foot¬ ball jilayer and that he is what seems to trouble South Side High School.
Now the only term that apjilies to such a team is "(Quitters." When asked about forfeiting the game they emphatically denied it, but termed it cancelled. In order to cancel the game, they shfjuld have our consent. .As Rockville Center refuses to jday us, the game is foreiteei.
Furthermore when the jirotest was made, it was understooel that they would give the matter earnest consider¬ ation or let us know their final decision.
They did not even have the courtesy to reply. The information that we did get was purely thru our own efforts.
We feel that this explanation is due the people of Freeport and Rockville Centre for not playing the game scheduled.
