Mr. Larson, representative of the Nassau and Suffolk Lighting and Pow¬ er Company, visited the meeting of the Civic League on Friday nighi last in the interest of introducing electric ligbt in the villages of Merrick, Bell¬ more, and Wantagh. The Company is planning to come but waits on a cer¬ tain number of subscribers being ob tained, which number, as Mr. Larson clearly showed would not make a "paying investment" but would justi¬ fy the Company's coming with the prospect of future business. The League was quick to aee the advant¬ ages of electricity in this village and requested Mr. Larson to push the mat¬ ter with all expediency. There are about 25 signers for electricity in this village to date. Mr. Larson will be glad tl call personally u[K)n any house¬ holder who desires it and talk over the matter of the Company's intention and of the possibility of electricity for anv house. All wise new builders will wire for electrieit". The cost of in stalling varies witn the type of houae. E. H. Schledorn, Merrick, is a practi¬ cal electrician and the League under¬ stands that Mr. Schledorn will willing¬ ly visit any house on request and give
an estimate for installing electricity drills. Proceeus ar^ to b
