High Tide Does Damage
During an exceptionally high tide on Friday of last week, a large por¬ tion of the boardwalk at High Hill Beach was carried away, and some of the cottages completely isolated un¬ til the water had gone down. Most of the boardwalk was recovered, having gone into the still water in the bay in¬ side the beach. The Inlet at High Hill, known locally as High Hill In¬ let, haa steadily worked west, and the probability of a new inlet opening through the heart of the Summer col¬ ony is thought to be more serious than in many years, it having been freely predicted for many years that eventually a new inlet would cut thru directly south of where the steam¬ boat dock is now located.
