The annual meeting of the Alumni Association of Freeport High School was held at the Grove Street School Saturday evening. The present offi¬ cers were re-elected to hold office until after the annual alumni barquet, to be held during commencement week. It was also decided to give a play some time in June.

I Col. William J. Ynungs, one of the ' best known of Long Islanders, died at 'his country home at Garden City ' Thursday morning of heart trouble, ; after a few hours illness.
Colonel Youngs was one of the boy¬ hood friends of Col. Koosevelt in Oys¬ ter Bay.
Funeral services will be beld Satur¬ day morning in tbe Episcopal Cathed¬ ral of the Incarnation, at Garden City. As contributingjeditor to the Hemp¬ stead Inquirer. Col. Youngs in a few months brought that paper to a high position of importance in the Coanty. Col. Youngs had served as secretary to Governor Roosevelt, and later was for yeara United States District At¬ torney fot this diattict.
