Our ex-President entered tbe Ameri¬ can Theatre shortly before 10 o'clock, accompanied by C. Dwight Baker and David Sutherland, jr., of the Board of Education, with . Supervisur Hiram R. Smith and former Congressman W. W. Cocks. As he started down the aisle Miss Spier gave the signal and the High School Orchestra struck up "America" and the crowd rose to their feet even before they realized the pres¬ ence of the guest wbo was honoring them by his presence.
He was escorted to the platform and introduced by ^Trustee Baker, and talked for about 5 minutes, impressing his audience by his earnestness, en¬ thusiasm and energy.
Tbe Review representative was not prepared for the task of reporting this part ot the program but we are able to publish some excerpt, from his speech :
"I want to appeal to you to enforce the discipline of life early in the life of our youth. I don't think we are sufficiently careful in tbe training of our children. The teachers in the schorls have a harder time than they ought to have because of lack of firm¬ ness on the part of the parents before the children come into the hands of the teachers.
For a very large percentage of our people the high school is the basis of the education in the university of life; it is in the high school that the strength of the nation exists, and it must be maintained if our people are to go on and achieve victory as in the past.
Boys and girls, when you are study¬ ing you are not conferring a favor on someone else. You are studying to help yourself. You ought to know that you owe on obligation to yourself. • • * When you go out into life take with you the understanding that you ought to be thankful to God that you had sueh an opportunity to get an education, and then when you think of that tremendous debt you owe to your parents and to your country, you will understand what real patriotism is— and will swell with gratitude for being able to live in this free country.
God bless you, and may you go on, and realize the deDt you owe to your fathers and your mothers and to your country."

(Special to Nassau County Review) Our ex-President entered tbe Ameri¬ can Theatre shortly before 10 o'clock, accompanied by C. Tbe Review representative was not prepared for the task of reporting this part ot the program but we are able to publish some excerpt, from his speech : "I want to appeal to you to enforce the discipline of life early in the life of our youth. God bless you, and may you go on, and realize the deDt you owe to your fathers and your mothers and to your country." Busy Times for Scholars CROWDS ON MOONLIGHT SAILS A large number of students and graduates of the Freeport High School and their friends enjoyed two moon¬ light sails Friday evening, about twen¬ ty-five being on the excursion of the Training Class, and close to forty on the sail of the graduating or Class of 191G, Freeport High School The boats left Patterson's dock at about half past eight and the Seniors proceeded to Point Lookout, and the Training Class boat to Nassau-By-the-Sea. Miss Marian Patterson, Hylda Fraleigh and Harold Gnller had charge of the Senior sail, aided by Joel Pitcher, and for the Training Class Miss Marie Mahnken was chairman of the committee in cbarge. Their chaperons was Miss Bertha M. Rowe, who was also the guest of honor, and the 1916 sail's cbaperonea were Miss Colburn and Mi.s Moulton. Box lunches were en¬ joyed at tbe beach by all wbo attende-:*. the sails. The partiea returned to Freeport about two o'clock, and every¬ one thoroughly enjoyed the trips. PLANS OF GRADUATES Mis.
