''We tn America have tatked ao much tfiai it is time to shot ap and make thiaga go. It ia time vte jMint- ed to things done—big 'things.
"We mast have two things ta win this war. We nwst eewrciae moral qualities. The party thnt will win this war ia the one Abafc has the best moral courage and ihe greateat .ca¬ pacity for aacrifice.
''The second thing we must haac is victory in arms, againat an enemy in arms. To make phyaical feroo foK wc- must have mi.'n, inoney, 4hip8, air- planea and guns. WashiDgt«n is got- tng these thngs.
Ther* roust be no divided people and tliroughout the land there aanst be a deep sanse of duty and feeling for tbis great aacrifice of war. Our work tn ffaintalHing thia feeling is not yet complete. No feelihg ean become ef¬ fective without institutiooB and ma- 'hinery to keep it tonstnntly stimu- i.uv). The nattonal seearity league waa Qf^ganized to do this Wiirk.

Sun¬ day we had a number of guests, who spent the whole day in Freeport, us¬ ing our rooms as headquarters, and the pleasing remarks made when we served them with coffee and sand¬ wiches or cake as wc hsd on hand at various times, was well worth while. A. and K. of C. tents the only thing the people seemed to want to do was to separate ur from our wages." I

So we stocked up, and the cakes, withont solicitations, began tu arrive Saturday night and on Sunday enough came in to keep us going, al-^ though on limited rations.
