The dead and Injured were placed tm the special train aud brought to Kuoxvllle. Five ot the Injured died while 011 the way to this city. Soiuc were taken to the Kuo.\vllle lleneral Hospital and others to their homes or the homes of friends. A local undertaker bad IDil cots In readiness at tile Muiison street crossing, where the deatl and injuritl were reuio\i.d from the train.
Two day curs were crushed on the ensthound train between the baggage lar and tbc sleiieers. In one coach only one [lerson escaped with liLs life. The persons not Injured, aud the relief corps from Newuinrket worked nian- full.v, rescuing Injured, walling upon tlicui, carrying water and placlug pil¬ lows under their beads.
