her home, 217 Smith st., Saturday
night after a prolonged Illness
which culminated with a heart at-tack
earlier in the day. Funeral
services were conducted In the Ful-ton
Parlors Monday night by the

the First Baptist Church, and the'

Cemetery, Bethel, Sullivan

Christine Bergener In New York but
lived most of her life In Brooklyn,
until the family moved to Freeport
thirty years ago. She was long
active In St. John's Methodist

Goeller was one "of the most faith-ful
workers of the Freeport Red
Cross Branch. For a time. she
served with the group that met in
the \ .Baptist . Church. Later she
spent every Wednesday at the Red
Cross workroom in the Municipal

highest of awards for the many
hours spent in this activity. From
1940 to 1956 she was credited with
1,258 hours of service. She was a
member of .the Freeport Aux-iliary
of .the South Nassau Oom-munltes
Hospital. SHe also had
sewed for the Save the Children.
