Vandals Steal Bulbs
From Christmas Tree .
Vandals' cartiiot. even keep their
hands otflf of Christmas trees. The
Village Board had a beautiful tree
installed on the Long Island Rail
Road Station Plaza, and wired-for
lights. The bulbs were provided and
Superintendent of Light DlgEHbir-t
Ion Clinton H. Walling thought his
job was over.-
But to his amazement when the
tree was lighted there were no
lights at the base. Boys or their el-ders
had stolen all the bulbs within
reach. The bulbs were replaced and
the same tjiing happened again,
only to be repeated as often as new
bulbs were provided.
