SPECIAL SERVICES TO
MARK HOLY DAYS The Christmas season in Farmingdale will be ushered in at special
Christmas Eve services to be held in various community churches.
St. Kilian's R. C. Church will hold a Midnight Mass at the church
and the auditorium At 11: 30 a seasonal carol program by the combined
Men's andBoys choir will be held at the church. On December
25th, services will be held at 6: 30 a. m.; 8: 15; 9: 45; 11: 15; and 12: 40 at
both the church and auditorium.
Candlelight serices will be held at 7 p. m. and 10: 30 p. m. in
Fellowship Hall of St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Christmas Eve.
Services at 10 a. m. will be held on Christmas Day.

From Santa?

Carols begin at 11: 30 p. m. on Christmas Eve and Mass will be held
at Midnight on Christmas Eve at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. On
Christmas Day services will be held at 8 a. m. and 11 a. m. with the
children's choir singing at the 11 a. m. service.
At the United Methodist Church Candlelight services will be held on
Christmas Eve at 7: 30 and 11 p. m. No services are scheduled on
Christmas Day.
Christmas caroling by various civic and church groups, under the
sponsorship of the Farmingdale Kiwanis Club will take place on Main
Street on Monday, December 22 beginning at 7: 30 p. m.

The first snowfall ol the season last
weekend blanketed the Village Green at

For his outstanding performance in the line of duty, volunteer
fireman Kenneth Scherer, right, of the Farmingdale Fire Department
receives his " Volunteer Fireman of the Year" award from
Robert Murray, Director of Sales for a'beve rage firm.
St. Kilians Boychoir under the direction of Theodore ' Grudzinski sang Monday night for the
Miller's Club. They also played in New York City for two appearances. They will wind up this
years Christmas schedule in the special Liturgical Solemn High Midnight Mass at St. Kilian's R. C.
Church with the Men's Choir and they are accompanied by Joseph Kline. Since there will be standing
loom only, those who wish to hear the choir should arrive as early as 11 p. m.
