FESTIVE MOOD: Farmingdale's Main Street is all lit up as the Village prepares to
celebrate Christmas 1971. Now that the big shopping rush is over people everywhere
will have their chance to settle down and try to recreate in themselves the spirit of the
holidays. Wouldn't it be nice if the message of Christmas " Peace on Earth " wouldjtay
with everyone, long after the lights have come down? Photo: Jack Pokress
