The Chriatmas exercises of the school will be held between Christmas and New Years. The little chapel has a new bell with an interesting history. The hell is a gift from a relative ol' Geo.~j WalkAr and will be rang for the lirst time on Christmas morning. It is a "silver bell" and originally was part of a moving picture equipment on the locomotive in a railroad wreck. The belt was lost in a river into which the locomotive plunged and upon being re¬ covered by Mr. Walker's relative was given to him.

We nolo fion) a recent issae of the Winsted Citizen, that Mrs. George E. Libbey, of that city, for several years a resident of Freeport, has been paid 1600, upon recommendation of a coq;^ mittee from the Borough Board, for injnriea sustained in a fall on a snow covered walk in tbat city last winter. Mrs. Libbey was quite badly injured, aa announced in the Review at that time, but thought it better to accept thia amount which will |>ay the ex- penaes incurred, and avoid the expense of a law suit and the nerve strain and criticism which eventually go witb a suit of this kind. Mra. Libbey is now getting along splendidly, and is able to walk very well.
Next Friday being a holiday, the Post Office will be cloaed after 0 :30. The bank, the newspaper office and most of the business places Will also be cloaed for the day.

In the basketball game at the Par¬ iah House on Wednesday night last the visitors, the Red Sox of Rockviile Centre, were the victors by a large aeore. The Red Sox are a superior team this year. It is with cadness we announce death of Mrs. Emma Louise Doughty, 60 years of age, of Morris Avenue, Inwood, wife of Hon. George Wilbur Doughty. The end came at 12:80 on Thursday night when Mrs. Dooghty had a stroke of paralysis, and her heart being in a weakened condition from long ailment, she was unable to rally. Her husband, son and brother were at the bedside wben death came.
