Legislator Ed Mangano joined with Congressman Peter King, Supervisor John Venditto, Councilwoman Rose Marie Walker and Bethpage Fire Department 2009
Honorees Frank Ciraullo, Sal Greco and Michael Croan for 50 years of service to the Bethpage Fire Department. Legislator Mangano also thanked Joe Froehlich
for his service as Commissioner of the Bethpage Fire District.

Bethpage High School Gymnastics coach Kim Rhatigan hand delivered an American
flag to building administrators. The flag was sent by former student Patrick Rhatigan, who is
deployed in Kyrgyzstan with the United States Air Force, as part of Operation Enduring

Bethpage High School Class of 1987 alumnus Patrick
Rhatigan, now a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air
Force, had a thoughtful gift delivered to Bethpage High
School from Kyrgyzstan, where he has been deployed for the
past six months. Patrick's sister, Kim Rhatigan- Drexler, is the
High School's Girls Gymnastics coach and was pleased to
hand a United States flag, signed by Patrick, over to District
administrators during a recent gathering.
Included with the flag was a certificate stating, " This
American flag is presented to Bethpage High School. On
February 19, 2009, dedicated members of the United States
Air Force flew this flag over Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and
Kyrgyzstan in your honor. It flew onboard a KC- 135R
Stratotanker during an OPERATION ENDURING FREE-DOM
combat refueling mission. Let all who look upon it see
a symbol of freedom, a standard of justice, and a promise to
remember those who died for it." ^
