The new ordinance calls for the Town to set aside
public places, streets, or portions of streets, as parking
spaces for motor vehicles for the sole and exclusive use
by the holders of valid physically disabled driver
parking permits. These locations will be only in
unincorporated areas of the township.
The Superintendent of Parks will be authorized to
install a sign at each of these sites following the
issuance of such a permit. Fines will be levied
against violators.

Nix Sex Ed
Introduction of a pilot sex
education program in Rockvijle
Centre diocesan schools will not
take place until the diocesan
Board of Catholic Education
makes specific recommendations.
The Rev. Patrick Shanahan,
diocesan superintendent of
schools, pointed out that the
planned program was referred to
the board last May.
'The board needs all the
material on the program before it
can make recommendations and
there has been a delay in
readying the material,' Father.
Shanahan said.
The diocesan Board of Catholic
Education issued a statement
last May after heated controversy
surrounded the proposal

courses in diocesan schools.
The board pointed out it would

Starting with the first day of

school children by assisting
police and school crossing
guards.
The AAA campaign was begun
in 1946. Since then, traffic fatalities
among children from 5 to 14
years of age have been sharply
reduced in New York State despite
a considerable increase in
both motor vehicle registrations
and school enrollments.
