And They Were All
At Your House
These goblins, masquerading as children in
costume, took time-out from their yearly
Halloween rounds to claim prizes from
unsuspecting adult judges at the Bethpage
Public Library.
The counterfeit costumers cavorted at the
annual Halloween Party and Costume Contest
given by the Library on October 24. After
partaking of food and soda with some 100
authentic children, these goblins gathered all
the prizes and disappeared.
The goblins appear to be: Abdul the Shiek,
who masqueraded as either Michael
Tranontano, Cornelius Vivolo or Alex
Wightman; Snow White, who gave the name
of Ellen Juvet; Claude Clown, who went
under the alias of Vivolo, Wightman and
Tranontano; Zorro, who also used the three
aliases; Humpty Dumpty, who later claimed
he was Pinochio and then Laura Sylvester;
the Statue of Liberty, alias Julia Tedesco,
Bonzo the Magic Clown, the leader of the
group who was the only one to admit to his
true identity as Bonzo the Magic Clown; Alice
the waitress, claiming she was Sandra
Fillinger and Rip Van Winkle who looks
strikingly like William Rokowitz.
The schizophrenic Humpty and shy
Dumpty / Pinochio stole first prize. Van
Winkle slept though the second, the torch took
third and Alice skated off with fourth. The
remaining four of the nasty nine took the rest
and along with Bonzo were heard to say as
they drove out of sight, happy Halloween to
all - and to all a good night.
