A Pooka Comes To Town
As the TRIBUNE was going to
press yesterday afternoon, we
learned that Peter Pooka has
come to Bethpage and plans to
take up residency in the town.
The almost six-foot tall rabbit is
running for Easter Bunny.
Pooka's campaign manager,
DeWayne Scott, a fFeelance,
informed us, "Easter Bunny is an
elective office but nobody's run
against Cottontail in the last fifty
years. We aim to carry on a
grass-roots campaign. We'll go
door to door and let the residents •
know where they can vote for
Peter."
A number of merchants have
already jumped I on the Pooka
bandwagon and more are expected
to sign on as Pooka wages
his seven week campaign to
unseat Peter Cottontail. Shown
