Correspondent
Christal Siewertsen, 17, of 53 Nassau Street,
Bethpage, has been named CO-ED Correspondent
for the 1981-82 school year, according
to an announcement by Kathy Gogick, Editorial
Director of CO-ED / FORECAST Magazines.
CO-ED, published nationally by Scholastic Inc.,
lor home economics students, contains features
on personal development, careers and consumer
awareness as well as the latest trends in fashion,
food, beauty, and home furnishings.
Christal, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Hans
Siewertsen, is a senior at Bethpage High School.
She was appointed Correspondent by Mrs.
Mensch, her home economics teacher.
Selected for her qualiities of leadership and
enthusiasm for home economics, Christal will
serve as junior advisor to CO-ED editors. Like
the other CO-ED Correspondents throughout the
United States and Canada, she will keep the editors
informed of activities at her school. Mafy Barry

President
International
Miss Mary Barry, 9 Joseph Avenue, Bethpage,
was elected president of the New York Chapter
of Executive Women International at its annual
meeting last evening.
Miss Barry, Executive Secretary to the Vice
President for Public Relations of New York
Telephone Company, will spearhead the
activities of executive women from 40 major
New York City corporations.
Founded in San Francisco in 1938, Executive
Women International was one of the original
networks for women. It now has 74 chapters
throughout the United States and Canada, a
membership of over 5,000 executive women. Winning Nassau Leaders
