THE MIDDLE ISLAND AND SOUTH HAVEN
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCHES
DURING THE REVOLUTION
[image]
The church built in 1837 which replaced
the first one built in 1766.
"This day we take our farewell of the old Meeting House, and
we perform this last service under the happy conviction that
the bread of life has been here broken to many souls who have
truly hungered for the Word of God. May much seed that has
been sown here grow to a glorious harvest that shall wave in
immortal beauty over the remains of this demolished temple,"
(from the record of April 30, 1837)
