JOSHUA SWEZEY HOMESTEAD BUILT ABOUT 1750
One of the first houses built on the Middle Country Road, it
is the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Lengyel who operate the
Middle Island Museum.

HALF MILE POND (DAVIS POND) ON CHURCH LANE
James Swezey lived here in 1778, and his will gave his wife
"one good milch cow for her lifetime if she should remain my
widow so long."
