I Bethpage Civic groups, students,
iresidents and merchants came out in
fnumbers on Friday April 20, to
iparticipate in the Second Annual
Llason Silver Volleyball Tournament
|held at Bethpage High School.
I Jason Silver, a junior at Bethpage
jHigh School was involved in a tragic
3 accident on Stewart Avenue 2 years
iago and remains in a coma since being
1 struck by an automobile that Tail.

5 various nursing homes and hospitals
jand must rccei\e medical assistance
jwhich is both costly and tryifig on his
(family. Last year the volleyball
tournament, which was the brain-
storm of Anne Marie Manone, an
'Alumni of Bethpage High School, was
jexlemely successlul.

I This year was no exception. 20
jteams participated in this iun tilled
levent. Ihey included the Bethpage
Billy Zura was one of the Fire
Department players.
Rotary Club, PAL, the Bethpage Fire
Department, Bretton's Deli, St. Martin
of Tours, Jacciues Caterers, Dads
Club and various Student and Faculty
Teams.
Congratulations is extended to all
teams participating in this years
tournament.
Special honors to the first place
team of Students led by Mike Agrillo
and Matt Conway, the Second place
finishers were the PAL team, and
Third honors going to another student
team led by Paul ThoiNchmidt.
As last year, all those who participated
had a great lime, enjoying ihe
volleyball game and knowing thai they
are helping a fellow Bethpagt* resident.

part in a Civil War Encampment at Old Bethpage Village Restoration Saturday
and Sunday, May 5 and 6, from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.

camp is vividly re-created at a Civil
War Encampment to be held at Old
Bethpage Village Restoration on
Saturday and Sunday, Mav 5 and 6.
from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Gulotta said that over 100 authentically
uniformed "soldiers" will participate
in this re-creation of one of
