AHRC Nassau Presents Community
Recognition Award to Chapey &
Donna Midler and Cathy LoQuercio present Ken Chapey with a
Community Recognition Award while AHRC Board Member, Dorothy
Lenowicz and Membership Chair, Thomas Moore lend their support.
Chapey & Sons Funeral Home was recently presented with AHRC
Nassau's Community Recognition Award which recognizes exemplary com-munity
members who continually support the mission of AHRC Nassau by
going above and beyond for the people in AHRC Nassau's programs.
Over the years, the Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, and Ken Chapey in par-ticular,
have continuously demonstrated courtesy, respect and compassion for
members of the AHRC Nassau family during their most solemn moments by
ensuring a dignified celebration of each person's life. In addition to the
Community Recognition Award, Mr. Chapey was also presented with a letter
of thanks written by Jack Posner, President of the Nassau County AHRC
Foundation on behalf of the Guardianship Committee. AHRC Nassau Board
Member and Guardianship Committee Member, Dorothy Lenowicz, read the
letter and presented it to Mr. Chapey at AHRC Nassau's annual Membership
Luncheon.

Special thanks to Cub Scout Pack 603 Wolves for stopping by the Tribune
q/Jlce for a tour. The boys learned all about newspapers and proved that they
are TRUE NEWSMAKERS! Congratulations to Andrew Sciglibaglio, Steven
Sciglibaglio (Troop 604), Andrew Testani, Brian Seeley, Timothy (TJ) Hart,
Michael Breunig, Alex Johneas and Andrew Freiberg for taking the time out of
their vacation to learn about journalism and newspapers!

Briana Hanley's parents, coach and educators joined her as she signed a
Letter of Intent to play soccer at Nova Southeastern University. (Top row L-R):

Bethpage High School seniors and Girls Varsity Soccer team members
Emily Banes and Briana Hanley both signed Letters of Intent to continue
their sport in college - at Towson University and Nova Southeastern
University, respectively.
Both students have played Varsity Soccer, under the leadership of Coach
Greg Franzke, for all four of their years at Bethpage High
