who represent many fields of endeavor, have announced plans for
a general oi^inlzatlon meeting to be held within the next few days.
Nelson Kayattp owner and operator of Kayatt's Red Carpet Restaurant,
is spearheading this movemgnt ol unlfleation for the general wel- '
f««<e -and Improvement of this cenlrally-Ioeated area. He will be the
host at a luncheon to be held at his restaurant lor the formation of
this association.
Mayor Bob Sweeney, Chamber of Commerce Pres. Bill Allen, Roy
Cacdatore <rf the Merchants' Division, Trustee Henry Altengarten and
other leading businessmen and public officials will be Invited as special
guests.
The group plans to complete plans for the re-naming of llatlroad
Ave. now that the grade-elimination project ia completed. It also Intends
to laimch a program ol holiday decorations for this very busy business
area -which Is the gateway to the village.
THE LEADER has campaigned for many months for a change of
name of this section which at one time was considered as secondary
and which has been called many derogatory names,
