COW MEADOW PURSUIT
At tlie open unectng of the Village Board on Monday night, July 17,
Mayor Robert J. Sweeney anhounoed that three new resolutions regarding
the aoqulsitton of Cow Meadow were ready to be put to a vote by
the Board. However, since they had not been . prepared In time for
•an advance announcement to the public, the Board decided to defer
the vot# until the next open aieet-
Ing,. to be held. on ^ AuBUst 20, at
which time any interested residents
of the VJUage may discuss the issue.
The resolutions on which the
Boa.rd will vote are: a resolutimi

land; a resolution, authorizing the

Discharged From
Doctors Hospital
One of the Freeport's more prominent
VIPs was discharged from
Doctors Hospital, Monday. July 18.
Lyman Duryea of 311 Park Ave.
was sufficiently recovered from surgery
to return to his summer home
at i948 South Grove St. He was admitted
to the Doeto^ Hospital a
week earlier.
The proprietor of Duryear's Flower
Shop. 70 South Grove St., Lyman
Duryea Is widely known lor his
"Orchid ol the Week" Award which
Is presented each week to a person
who performs outstanding community
