Proclamation in honor of Veteran's Day, November II, 1884, and
. urged the citizens of-the community to again pay our traditional
inomage and tribute to those who made the supreme sacrifice for
eur country and tO'those "t^ho served us in time of need,
• Veteran's Day Is a real and exclusive'American" holiday. It Is a
Bay which brings us all together, regardless of race, creed, color

, Veterans' Day is a special occasion-r-ja day set aside In Which
we remember those brave men and those loyal Americans who
aelped make the United States the greatest country in the world.
Again we'll stand shoulder,to shoulder and salute.our flag and
again we'll be bonded together against any and all who might have

We pay public tribute to the veterans' organizations of Freeport
wd a special personal salute to Samuel D.-Gerber, who has so
loyally served as our Grand Marshall for so many years.
This was Sam Gerber's last Big Parade ,as Grand Marshall
Because he is letirttg from this position. But Sam Gerber"will still
lead aH our parades, in our hearts and in our minds,
