of the N.Y.C. Police Band and Conductor of the Queens
Symphonic Orchestra . . . He studied clarinet under the noted

FREEPORT POLICE DEPT.
Freeport Village was incorporated jn 1892, with a population
i)f i,82l. The first Village President was fjarman Cornelius. The
Police Department was established the same year, with one (I)
Policeman caUcd "Village Officer."
-There were four applicants for this position. The Village Board
appointed John J. Dunbar, as Freeport's flrsl Police OJIicer, He

Mrs. Minnick is nursing supervisor at Doctore Hospital, 320

it opened almost ten years ago. ,
