MARKET to his all-new and enlarged establishment across the street
from his old location on Atlantic A v e . . . . By the way, talking about
Atlantic Ave., residents and businessmen really fuming because this
very.busly thoroughfare was blocked by constrdction all during the
big week-end. (Thii is not a Freeport but a County project and the
traffic maintenance requirements are being checked for violations)
. . . That distinguished looking Catholic Priest seen in thb area is
the REV. JEROME F. MURPHY M.M.. who is visiting friends und
relatives in Long Island before returning to MARYKNOLL MISSION
in.Korea. (The Holy Redeemer Church societies gave him a reception
on May 16. His Dad was the late BILL MURPHY, Secretary of
the Freeport llks) , . . His thousands and thousands of fans and
listeners already jnissing LEE" CARLE and his WGBB broadcasts.

wife and four children^
He was charged with passing iwo red lights and two other traffic
misdemeanors. Ilia bail was set
at $100 which lie was unable to
meet
Normally the defendant would
have been taken to the Nwaau
County Jail to await trial, but
tho Freeport Lions Club beard of
