the LILCO officials.
It ia reported that the new contract
will save the Village of
Fi-eeport approximately $40,000 to
$S0,000 per year. It will become
effective April 1, 1068. Mayor
Sweeney announced that the new
"Interchange agreement" would
innate closer working relations
•ind cooperation between Freeporfc
and the lighting company.
The new contract was signed
pn Monday, Feb. 28, after being
unanimously approved by the'
Board of Trustee.?. It ended a 3-
month haggling oyer the Awmer
new contract proposed by LILCO.
The old contract expired In

during these negotiations.
