The Mayor noted that four

the latest move placing them under
the jurisdiction of the recreation
department.
"We have our own recreation
department in Freeport," Mayor
Swetmoy said, "and the proposed
county ccntcir would have nothing
to do with recreation. We also
have our own community center
for youth activities. What i^
tieeded from tlio county is direct
attention frofti county agencies to
the problems of individual youths
and. individual families, in social
services, health, probation, and
the other responsibilities with
which the county is charged.
