• I n spite of a picketing demonstration Friday afternoon by
Freeport teachers, as negotiating teams met in the school
administration building, there was no contract .settlement
as THE LEADER went to press Wednesday morning.
"Not optimistic" was a.ssociation president John
McKahary's view after leaving the Friday meeliiig.
"Teacher morale i.s at it's lowest ebb." said McKnluiry
"while meetings bog down in argiinienls over semiintics
and verbage."
