The Good Government Party of Freeport has unanimously
nominated George Maislen and Mark Hroncich
as its candidates for Trustees in the March 16th Village of
Freeport election.
In a joint statement issued by
Maislen and Hroncich, who have
resided in the community for
more than 32 years and 47 years,
respectively, they declared:
"There has been a deep lack of
progress and concern for the
attorney for 44 years and lives
with his wife, Gene, at 155 Swezey
Ave., Freeport. He was a former
Chairman of the Freeport Board
of Zoning Appeals.

On Saturday, February 6, 1971, at approximately
7 J10 PM a yotmg female was returning from a day
spent in the city. She walked home from the Baldwin
railroad station and started south on Brooks ide
Avenue. When she approached tunied around preparing to run if
Pine Street, dhrecUy across from this man itUl foUowed. She saw
the Flreeport High School, she no one and proceeded to walk
noticed a white male standing home. Just east of Parle Place
near the comer of Pine Street and
Brookslde Avenue on the
southeast corner. When she
passed, this man started to follow
her. She turned left on Porterfield
Place and after fifty or so feet she
this man who had b«!n following
the girl appeared beside her and
held a curved iaiife, similar to a
linoleum luiife, to her throat and
forced her behind a vacant house.
