received word of a new U.S.
"Basic' Opportunity Grant
Program" which can mean up io
$l,4tiO to this year's high school.
graduates. Grants are restricted
to those students who "for the

high school program, at an
eligible college, university or
technical school on a.full time
basis,
; The grants will scale from 1200
to 11,400; depending on family
income which .may range up to
$11,000, or hig^/or a family of
four, and other' circumstances
such as catastrophic illness,
number of children attending
college, etc.
