Two Contracts
FREEPORT — Discussions of
two Village contracts look place
at Monday night's open voting
session of the Freeport Board of
Trustees. The first contract, for

FREEPORT - The 1976 season of the Freeport Little League
will be officially launched this Saturday, May 1, as young baseball
players and their adult coaches and managers parade through
Village streets prior to the first game.
The Village of Freeport will also take the occasion to rededicate
Northwest Park, where Little
Leaguers play their games, in
honor of the late Williaip'F.
Glackeh. The late Freeport
Mayor, who served in that
capacity from 1953 to 1961, passed
away in September, 1974.
The parade, chaired by JoKn
- DiGrazia, will form in the yard of
Our Holy Redeemer .School and

ALBANY - New Yorit State Comptroller Arthur Levitt announced

Substantial overtime payments

Examiner reported, to Village
employees, ranging from 41% to
123% of their annual base

A Budget Committee
FREEPORT - While the
F r e e p o r t R e p u b 1 i c a h
Organization has not gone- on
record" as endorsing a school
board candidate in the forthcoming
June 8 election, a
statement on the school budget
was read at last Tuesday night's
meeting of the group. The
statement, later released by the
group, pointed to "the heed for a
full, open disclosure and
examination of the operation of
the Freeport School's budget in a
way which has never beoi done
before." - _
The Republicans stressed that
—Freeport can well be proud of i t s -
school system," but that tliis is a
time of "great economic distress
which is being experienced by
every taxpayer." Pointing out
that citizens must be provided
with aD the necessary details so
that they can evaluate the school
budget "and overall operations.

For School Board Seat
FREEPORT - On Tuesday, June 8, when residents of the Freeport
School District go to the polls to vote on the 1976-77 school budget,
they will also be asked to elect one person for a three year term
on the Freeport School Board. The seat to be filled Is now occupied
by G'oria Nevard. Freeport resident John D. Reilly told THE
LEADtiR this w-eek that he has science degree, he . has been
coUected enough signatures to acUve m many of his industry's
